My name is Alexandre Lagache. I started bicycle touring when I was studying in Sweden. At that time we were cycling everyday to the university, I had a nice bicycle and found myself being sad having to leave it in Sweden (I lived in France). So with Steve, a friend from the USA, we decided to cycle back to France where he could take a plane back to the States. That trip was awesome, Northern Europe proved to be a very welcoming place for cyclists and my biggest frustration was to have to stop cycling once arrived at destination. Every year since then I toured more and more, longer and further. In 2007 I had the chance to take a year off work and cycled around the world.
